Client Support Actuary Jobs in British Columbia

Demonstrated experience in developing the analytical skills of colleagues

Manage the implementation of pricing algorithms

Collaborate with colleagues from around the organization to define data requirements

Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors and the access and use of data from external parties

Proactively share knowledge across the team

Support intake process through applicant selection process, interview participation, intake management and follow up with new participants.

Demonstrated ability and experience dealing with aggressive behaviours and effective de-escalation and boundary setting skills.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal fire regulations and procedures, and other emergency procedures and ensure health and safety standards are maintained.

Social Service Worker diploma or other related education.

2+ years of experience working with older adults and/or seniors with mental health, addictions issues, and street involvement.

Demonstrated ability in written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Education You've Completed. A Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.

What You Need To Know

Solid knowledge of actuarial principles, 3-4 years of related experience

Proactively evaluate the rating assumptions and suggest updates based on the emerging claims experience.

Potentially manage the work of one or more Data Analysts

Look for ways to improve customer experience.

Experience using R or Python

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
