ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Knowledge of Farm/Oil Field operations

• Previous experience working in a fuel operation would be an asset

Spring Season: April 1st through June 30th

Fall Season: September 1st through November 15th

Min 2 years of experience operating equipment

Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency

Previous professional driving experience is required

Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of count sheets and incident reporting

Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships

Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over rural routes

Stable year-round work with an experienced dispatch team

Safety conscious approach to all job duties

Class 1A Driver’s License – Minimum 2 year highway experience with 1 year flat/step deck experience preferred

Off road experience an asset

A clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Provide exceptional on-site service to customers and continuously promotes GFL’s service offerings

Experience working in a safety sensitive environment

Follow schedules and service orders in accordance with the Service Coordinator’s instructions

Complete service paperwork in accordance with GFL and TDG regulations

Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components and other assigned equipment

Participate in GFL’s safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.

Monitor the day-to-day operation of equipment in the field both in person and remotely through the use of Samsara.

2-5 years of industrial driving experience with relevant Transportation of Dangerous Goods “TDG” experience and current certificate is required.

Must have strong knowledge of transportation legislation, specifically Hours of Service.

Preference given to candidates who are safety minded, customer focused, self-starters, with strong communication skills.

Mechanical experience is considered an asset.
