Summary:


Our Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe transportation of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), for our customers. We are currently hiring for several experienced dangerous goods Class 1 Truck Drivers for a long term RNG project in Delta, BC.

Schedule:


  • Expected travel to other Certarus locations.
  • The role is local driving expecting 8 –12 hours rotating shifts of morning and evenings.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Monitor the day-to-day operation of equipment in the field both in person and remotely through the use of Samsara.
  • Perform start up and shutdown of PRS’s including valve sequencing, connect and disconnect hoses, and depressurize and pressurize hoses.
  • Inspect and maintenance of equipment, tractors, and trailers, focusing on airlines, brake inspections, suspension, tires, valves, lights, and signage.
  • Submit Go Canvas Payroll Tickets, Haz ID’s, Best Behavioral Observations (BBO’s), customer site inspections and use other Certarus app’s and software, for example Samsara, as required.


Requirements:


  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Mechanical experience is considered an asset.
  • 2-5 years of industrial driving experience with relevant Transportation of Dangerous Goods “TDG” experience and current certificate is required.
  • Must have strong knowledge of transportation legislation, specifically Hours of Service.
  • Preference given to candidates who are safety minded, customer focused, self-starters, with strong communication skills.
  • Preference given to candidates who can model a professional attitude and make customer service a priority.
  • Preference given to candidates who are proficient with Windows based software and using Smart Phones, experience using tablets and laptops is considered an asset.
  • Class 1 license in good standing and a driving abstract clear of major violations is required.
  • Must meet Certarus’ pre-screening requirements including background and reference checks, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, a functional fitness assessment and a driver evaluation.
  • Proficiency with using “E” Logs is preferred.
