Completion of a culinary arts program or an equivalent combination of education and experience combined.

Attend work as scheduled, give sufficient notice for absences to Food Services Manager.

Ensures smooth operation of kitchen services during absence of Food Services Manager.

Help to ensure that food deliveries have been delivered and stored according to the standards set by the Food Services Manager.

Maintain up to date Food Safe Certification.

Above average interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;

Previous experience in reception is considered an asset;

To answer all incoming calls, and respond to caller's inquiries in a positive, professional manner ;

To redirect calls as appropriate and take clear, concise messages when required;

To greet, assist and direct all visitors;

To pick up and sort internal mail;

Time management skills with effective methods to remain organized, prioritize, and multi-task.

Problem-solving skills with a talent for finding creative and resourceful solutions.

Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.

Handle sensitive, private and confidential information with tact and discretion.

Stay calm, resolve conflict and de-escalate hectic or difficult situations.

Assists the Communicable Disease Team in the management of public health situations and emergencies through appropriate surveillance and monitoring activities.

Thorough knowledge of the principles, processes, procedures and methods involved in data analysis and statistical methods.

Utilizes various community health data to understand the distribution of health determinants and status for Fraser Health residents.

Develops, implements, and evaluates surveillance systems to monitor specific public health events.

Communicates information from health assessment and disease surveillance activities to internal and external stakeholders through presentations and reports.

Leads teams and/or projects to increase or improve data assets related to monitoring the health of the population.

Providing training and education to HCWs

Conducting home visits and/or assessments

Current practicing registration with the BCCNM

A positive and collaborative attitude

Knowledge, understanding and willingness to learn about developmental disabilities, mental health and health services

Double vaccination for Covid-19 is a job requirement.

Wage is $25.05 per hours and 10.6% paid on all hours worked in lieu of benefits

A minimum of 6 months related experience, preferably within a BC local government setting.

Experience in surveying, land development, customer service, and negotiation is an asset.

A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence

Grade 12, one-year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
