QUALIFICATIONS FOR A Carpentry APPRENTICE

Genuine interest in building a carpentry career

$22 to $30 per hour

supplement their hands-on training with coursework at Conestoga College in their general carpentry program

Previous experience in commercial maintenance, home renovation, carpentry, basic plumbing would all be considered relevant experience

Excellent people skills and a team player

10-hr shifts, OT after 40 hrs per wk

14 on / 7 off

Camp Accommodations and Shuttle Provided

Camp Accommodations and meals provided while on rotation

Proven experience in project management, preferably in a carpentry or construction-related field

Experience developing and managing budgets, schedules, and other project management tools

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team of carpenters and other project staff

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)

Communicate regularly with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements and timelines are met

Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling

Manage a team of skilled carpenters and woodworking professionals

Develop and maintain accurate carpentry project records and reports for management

Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant tools

Manage and mentor carpentry staff, providing training and guidance to improve performance

Proven experience in a leadership role in the carpentry industry
