Carpenter Apprentice Carpenter Skilled Laborer Jobs in British Columbia

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

Proven experience as a skilled laborer in a construction or related field.

Experience in mechanical mounting of components such as pumps, including precise alignment.

Excellent hand tool and power tool experience (all tools are provided).

Experience reading construction drawings, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Collaborate with other skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to complete projects.

Team player with field staff, project management and internal company management.

Work in congested or remote areas.

Become familiar with intermediate level computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

Self-starter with ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills.

1+ years related experience or equivalent role (Utility or Outside Plant experience a plus).

Safety standards knowledge and enforcement.

Fair wages determined by skill set and experience

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements.

+2 years of working experience as a Carpenter

Knowledge of Federal/Provincial building codes.

Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with health & safety regulations, procedures and company policies.

Knowledge and experience in both civil construction and residential projects

Must have framing & concrete formwork experience.

Practical knowledge and application of workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures, and proper tool usage

Journeyman Carpenter Certificate from a recognized provincial training authority is not required but will be considered an asset.

Able to accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and understand verbal instructions.

General layout skills or experience working under a layout person.
