Canada Marine Inspection Services Surveyor Jobs

Experience with projects involving Quality Management, Field Inspection/Engineering, and writing reports.

Corporate and Team Management Responsibilities:

Manages inspection digital solutions and ensure cost-effective implementation on inspection projects.

Reviews Inspection criteria (e.g., contract, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), drawings, specifications, codes/standards) per client’s and other applicable requirements.

Schedules and plans inspections per client’s requirements and assigns qualified inspectors.

Informs the Project Engineer/Manager of any non-conformities to the contract documents and creates a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for tracking.

Post-secondary education in marine technology, logistics, transportation, project management , or other related fields

Knowledge of project management, contract administration, planning techniques, and budget preparation and control

Superior project management, negotiation, attention to detail, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills

Assists in harbour administration including proactive planning and management of the commercial and non-commercial activity.

Advises Management on issues or situations that may pose potential risks to the interests of Port of Thunder Bay.

Monitors non-commercial activities within the harbour to assure appropriate administration of safety, security, and risk management aspects.

Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.

Must have a minimum of 5 -10 years experience in conducting Marine surveys

A minimum of post secondary education (College diploma or University degree)

Superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential

Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
