Strong writing and storytelling skills, and knowledge of local, national and international news and current events

Minimum of five years of experience in TV / Web

Proven experience in news reporting and ability to perform in front of the camera

Excellent writing and presentation skills

Proven filming and editing abilities

Proven organizational skills, and ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines

Ensure events are managed until resolution while adhering to Incident and SLA guidelines.

Develop solution requirements, design specifications & operational guidelines.

Establish necessary testing requirements to evaluate the proposed designs and to validate the technology platform or systems.

Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).

Networking Certification preferred (CCNA, CCNP)

Advanced knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting in Unix/Linux and Windows environments

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends on a consistent basis as part of regular shift responsibilities.

Post-secondary education in a broadcast related field

Journalism degree is an asset; news writing or production experience is required

Knowledgeable in current music and upcoming artists

Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere/After Effects is a plus

Adequate knowledge in Excel or Google Spreadsheets

Actively search for new music and artists

Provide input on creative concepts and content ideas

Assist with live production and events

Knowledge of WSI weather graphics system is an asset.
