They use a variety of tools and techniques to repair and restore vehicles, including welding, sanding, painting, and other bodywork. They must be knowledgeable in the use of these tools and techniques, as well as in the safety and environmental regulations that apply to their work.

Body Techs are responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This includes repairing dents, scratches, and other damage to the body of the vehicle. They must be knowledgeable in the use of welding, sanding, painting, and other bodywork tools and techniques. They must also be knowledgeable in the safety and environmental regulations that apply to their work. They must be able to work with a variety of materials, including metal, plastic, and fiberglass. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. They must be able to work with a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
