Demonstrated track record of risk, financial and budget management.

Providing technical leadership in the areas of socio-economics, indigenous knowledge, traditional use and /or community engagement and consultation.

Related technical qualifications including relevant undergraduate degree, with a professional designation, or ability to obtain one.

Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining a team of professionals to support projects and the business.

Project management skills, ability to multi-task, work under tight timelines

Degree in geography, environmental assessment, social sciences, natural resource management, or related field of study.

Act as a technical lead for work related to Indigenous Knowledge and traditional use on interdisciplinary projects.

Lead and manage teams to the coordinate, organize and deliver socio-cultural research programs and related community engagement initiatives.

Demonstrated socio-cultural experience, working with or for Indigenous Nations.

Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Lead projects from inception to conclusion (project management experience and responsibility varies depending on level of candidate)

Assist senior leadership with pursuing research funding opportunities for the Renewables in Remote Communities program

Appreciation for the energy transition and/or equity in Canada and the range of solutions to reduce diesel consumption in remote communities

Strong interpersonal skills and experience working on a project team.

Comfortable interfacing with clients and all levels of management.

Sound numerical, conceptual and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.

Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power point) required

Previous experience with industrial estimating software preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A Business, Finance or Real Estate degree

A minimum three years’ industry experience in a related role.

Real Estate experience (an asset)

Advanced Excel skills; the ability to build complex cash flow models and manipulate data with an understanding of investment return metrics
