Biodiversity Project Coordinator Jobs

Research, follow, and implement best practices of collection management

Manage and maintain living plants, fungi and algal cultures

Demonstrated knowledge of plant nomenclature and systematics

Experience in plant propagation highly desirable

Demonstrated skills with compound and dissecting microscopes required

Experience in the use of standard laboratory equipment essential

·Experience working with Indigenous knowledge and scientific research methodologies.

·Experience conducting fieldwork, preferably in remote locations.

·Experience coordinating research projects that support conservation or land stewardship activities, preferably with Indigenous communities or organizations.

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Knowledge of the Mushkegowuk Council and its unique cultural, environmental, and political context is an asset.

CARBON & BIODIVERSITY RESEARCH COORDINATOR

Managing swing space exit protocols, which will include human, financial and facility management responsibilities while transitioning and decommissioning.

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Provides project status updates to the department administrators and project manager and advise to movers as required.

Managing the planning, implementation and close-out activities for the project.

Identifying and resolving deficiencies of the new labs and spaces.

Ensuring the move activities are performed in a safe manner and safety practices are followed.
