Experience training parents/caregivers to implement Behaviour Support Plans using Behaviour Skills Training

Integrating the client into community settings, as appropriate, to promote skill generalization

Collaborating with other professionals, as required for problem solving, goal development and skill generalization;

Supporting staff in development of clinical skills;

Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering ABA programming

Minimum 1 years’ experience engaging in supervising ABA programming under the clinical supervision of a BCBA

Be empathetic with good listening skills and have good problem-solving abilities.

Help learners understand lessons and educational activity delivered by the teacher. 

Have a passion for learning and excellent interpersonal skills.

Hold a qualification in health and social care, which is preferable.

Support the social and emotional needs of children and young people.

Encourage pupil participation in whole-School life, including extra-curricular activities.

Responsibilities Of The Primary Teaching Assistant

Provide 1-on-1 support to students when needed

Maintain a safe and positive learning environment

Assist the teacher in lesson planning, development, and delivery

Collaborate with the team to challenge and support student progress

Support day to day in class learning as a Primary Teaching Assistant

Leading small group sessions to boost engagement and enthusiasm

Keep track of pupils’ progression and support them in areas which are more challenging

Primary Teaching Assistant | Job Summary

Relevant experience working with SEND students.

2:1 or above Psychology degree from a leading UK University.

To support ASD and SEND students with differing needs.

September 2023, until the end of the academic school year.

£23,000 per year pro rata - paid PAYE on a weekly basis.

Successful SEN School based in Brent.

Have at least 6 months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting adults with Autism

Have Special Needs (SEN) experience, with a range of additional needs including SEMH and severe learning difficulties desirable

Be available on a full-time basis, or part time if you have set days available each week

Be enthusiastic, charismatic and be confident in your approach to managing behaviour

Have passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
