Automotive finance experience an asset.

Work collaboratively with Manager, Internal Audit and process owners to solve problems in a practical and efficient way.

Generate data and prepare various reports using SQL query writing, Excel, Tableau as requested by the Manager,Internal Audit.

·Assist the Manager, Internal Audit in completing internal audits determined by the Annual Audit Plan.

Strong file management skills and organization

Managing allocated projects or assignments, including time management

Maintaining technical knowledge – IFRS, ASPE, CAS - by: attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and establishing personal networks

Knowledge and experience working with IFRS, ASPE and CAS to be able to complete complex areas of an engagement

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate well with clients, managers and partners

Responding effectively and efficiently to client, manager and partner requests

Analyze test results, summarize details and advise internal audit management of conclusions, audit findings, and potential areas for process improvements.

Monitor regulatory developments that may impact ICOFR and assist internal audit management in implementing program changes to meet industry best practices.

University Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or related qualification

Minimum 4 years experience managing an audit process, techniques and associated professional standards

Experience and/or exposure working in operational and financial auditing, including: audit program preparation, business process risk assessment, and internal control evaluation.

Previous experience working for a large to mid-size audit / accounting firm would be considered an asset;

Ability to work with all levels of staff and management.

Provide process improvement recommendations for review and consideration based on their experience and exposure to the audit processes and programs.

Excellent written and communication skills.

This position is 18 hours a week (part-time) with no benefits.

Research and gather data and information in preparation for audits or other reviews/projects.

Assist in reviewing, organizing, and documenting data and information gathered during all phases of an audit, review, or special project.

Develop technical skills in areas such as: compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax

Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, manage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory counts

Completion of, or working towards, a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred)

Completion of, or working towards, prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon commencement of employment

Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset

Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset

Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to prepare and present formal written audit reports to management

Work closely with IT teams, price management teams, marketing teams, sales and operations teams to achieve business objectives

Review corporate policies and procedures according to regulatory requirements

Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Analytical skills and ability to summarize and present information

Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction

Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests

Works with finance partners to ensure logistics costs get coded to the correct GL

Manages the operational relationship with our Freight Audit & Pay vendor

Must have 2-5 years of experience with Freight Audit & Pay and corresponding tools, additional experience in Logistics is a plus

Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct analysis on large quantities of billing data

Excellent spoken and written communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
