Assistant Negotiator Jobs

Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in Petroleum Land Management (or equivalent).

6-12 years’ of experience in negotiations & community stakeholder communication.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Experience and understanding of CS Explorer and Geoscout.

We are seeking an individual to fulfill the responsibilities of a

Strong organizational and time management skills, and can effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines to deliver outcomes as required

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects or multi-party initiatives

Demonstrated experience providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior officials on complex matters, preferably related to justice

Demonstrated experience in developing, analyzing and implementing plans and strategies; and writing reports, discussion papers and briefing notes.

Broad knowledge of the justice system and reconciliation

Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Education/Experience University graduation in a field related to labour relations or extensive experience in the field of labour relations.

Extensive experience in the field of negotiations in the public and/or private sector.

Comprehensive knowledge of the process and practice of collective bargaining, including negotiating techniques, contract language development, and group dynamics.

Comprehensive knowledge of advocacy techniques.

Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of staff relations and pertinent legislation and regulations.

Knowledge of the organization and structure of the federal public service, agencies and crown corporations.

• Knowledge of sustainable resource management would be considered an asset.

• Experience in planning and project management.

• Knowledge of waterfowl and other animal and plant biology

• Excellent organization, interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.

• Strong computer and analytical skills – ArcMap an asset

• Previous sales or cold-calling experience would be an asset
