Assembly Weld Technician Jobs

Min 5 years hands on experience in related weld applications preferably in automotive

Experience in developing continuous improvement projects

Able to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)

Must have good communication skills.

Extensive knowledge of welding processes, equipment and robotic applications

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions

Competent in an assembly environment

Capable of operating basic service tools as well as all critical analog measuring devices including dial bore gauges and micrometers

An individual that has demonstrated the ability to train other Technicians

A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator

Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures

Experienced in an oil and gas completion tools assembly and shop environment

Degree, diploma, or certification in a mechanical engineering course or equivalent

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including problem resolution and motivational skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, manage priorities and execute tasks efficiently in a high pace environment

Experience in downhole tool pressure testing

Possible physical requirements: squatting, lifting bending, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling and working near moving equipment

Basic hand tool experience (bicycle related experience is preferred)

Assembly of low complexity mechanical components and some facility equipment

Quality of work and careful attention to detail will be important

Report directly to a member of the OneUp team who will help with training, progress tracking and quality control

The role will last 6 weeks of full time work beginning August 8th

Work days are up to 8 hours (8:30 am-4:30 pm) with a half hour lunch break Monday throughThursday

· Read, learn, understand, and interpret blueprints and work instructions

· Inspect and check parts and products to ensure accuracy against drawings & BOMs.

· Report production issues (Red Tags) and assist in problem solving and troubleshooting.

· Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, store and organize all tools and equipment.

· Accurately and consistently complete required paperwork – timesheets, work order transactions, checklists, etc.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities (Include, But Not Limited To)

Interpret and follow verbal, written, and drawn instructions

Assemble various electrical components to back panels and/or equipment

Wire components per given specifications

Maintain work area cleanliness, functionality, and safe conditions

Report on assembly progress and suggest countermeasures to maintain or recover schedules

2-5 years of soldering experience.

2-5 years of experience using mechanical hand tools.

Experience with harness/wire repair (splicing, crimping, stripping, etc.).

Experience working in a high-tech environment.

Experience working within an ESD controlled environment.

Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

1-2 years of related experience.

Experience with routine maintenance operations

Must possess solid interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.

Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances

Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in to facilitate prompt correction or reporting

Installation of new and added-on equipment

Input welder qualification and manage such qualification throughout the life of the project

Monitor Weld Console and assist data management transfer into other programs

Produce welding and ad-hoc reports using Weld Console system to present to management

Manage clearance of welds prior to pressure testing in Weld Console software

3 - 5 years’ of related quality assurance/quality control welding experience

Previous experience in construction projects

Follow work orders to install all pre-build assembly component pieces.

Perform a general quality control check to ensure that all specifications and quality standards are met.

Detailed recording and packing of orders for shipping. Some shipping/receiving duties.

Previous experience and training in loader and forklift operation is preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (word documents, spreadsheets and daily communication).

Responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner.

Undertake any other duties as may be requested by senior Managers.

Good general education including GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English

Experience in fine limit work is desirable

Experience in the formulation of WPS & WPQR documentation is desirable

Applying specialist methods and techniques required to assemble and join high precision and safety-critical components/instrumentation to the exacting quality standards required
