Overview An Apprentice Automotive Technician is a person who is in the process of learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified Automotive Technician. They are typically employed by a dealership or repair shop and are supervised by a qualified Automotive Technician. Detailed Job Description An Apprentice Automotive Technician is responsible for performing basic automotive maintenance and repair tasks under the supervision of a qualified Automotive Technician. This may include oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and other basic maintenance and repair tasks. They must be able to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and repair procedures
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
