Assistant Product Manager, Apparel Brands

• Assist Sr. Product Manager in managing the relationship and product lines with existing and new suppliers;

• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving abilities;

• Strong computer skills with an emphasis on MS Office – particularly Excel

• Experience in the clothing or textiles industry preferred

• Develop product specifications, packaging ideas, and technical information for the graphics department;

Post-secondary degree in Retail Management or Fashion; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Diploma in Fashion Merchandising or Business Administration and/or 2+ years’ experience in retail management.

Previous photo shoot and onset styling experience an asset

Position: Stylist *– Bluenotes, Lucky Brand Canada, Aeropostale Canada

5–7 years progressive experience and well versed in brand/category management, procurement, contract negotiation and vendor management within the retail industry;

Strong organizational, project leadership, and time management skills;

Manage assortments, inventory, and finances for each vendor.

3 - 5 years’ managerial experience;

Use Nudge where possible to inform staff of new products/offers

Collaborate with Inventory Planner to implement and manage supply chain initiatives to optimize performance metrics;

You solicit feedback from peers, management, and consumers

Works cross-functionally with Planner, Allocator and Visual Merchandiser to set assortment, implement strategy, manage open to buy and place re-orders

In partnership with the Planner, manages sell-through, markdowns, and exit channels for all product within the portfolio

3+ years of experience as a Buyer or Merchant in a multi-brand retailer

Experience opening new stores is preferred

Experience and passion for working in footwear and sportswear

Post-secondary degree in Retail Management or Fashion; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Diploma in Fashion Merchandising or Business Administration and/or 2+ years’ experience in retail management.

Order Management and Maintenance; ensures orders are processed correctly; guaranteeing scheduled delivery dates; confirming orders; following-up on deliveries; etc.

Manage all product samples and prepare merchandise for meetings, visual merchandising, and photography etc.

Develop understanding of assigned categories through brand customer, product knowledge, store visits, and competitor awareness.

Detail oriented, and skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking – constantly looking for ways to do more and better work.

Strong project management skills and/or experience.

Demonstrate effective project management skills by leading multiple projects (initiatives) and rallying a team to achieve measurable results.

Effectively manage invoice processing / tracking to align with Operating Expense management (monthly actuals, accrual tracking, year end accruals).

Identify the target channels, and asset requirements to support brand objectives.

Post-secondary education in business and/or a related field.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
