Advanced Application Engineer Jobs in Alberta

Interpret Product Qualification Requirements based on regulatory standards and system specifications.

Minimum 4 years’ experience writing qualification/hardware verification test plans, test procedures, and test reports

Experience developing Hardware Certification test plans, executing test procedures, generating formal reports, including failure/issue resolution.

Provide/Approve estimates for Hardware Qualification activities

Hands-on experience with Computer Networking (TCP/IP/CISCO), BER Testers, Routers, Switches, LabVIEW, TestStand

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Review Meter Data Management, Load Settlement and other control reports identifying published data discrepancies. Coordinate resolution of any data issues.

Manage AMI meter deployment plans, communicate with field resources and streamline the asset chain.

Initiate and oversee pilot projects that evaluate the performance and benefits of AMI deployment across various locations and situations.

Manage system maintenance and implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, and replacements.

Manage the maintenance and implementation of HES and endpoint firmware upgrades for hardware and software in coordination with system provider.

Communicate and provide information, documents and reports to internal and external customers and satisfy auditor’s requirements.

7+ Experience in coding using C#, C++

Experience understanding Fortran Architecture and code

Working knowledge on Databases (Preferably Sybase)

Experience working with messaging technologies (preferably ActiveMQ)

Conduct regular system and software checks to identify and resolve any issues or bugs and ensure security protocols are being followed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, including development, IT, and security teams.

Some experience in software, engineering or related field.

Model based development system design

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
