Activity Aide I Job Description:
The Activity Aide I is responsible for providing assistance to the Activity Director in planning, organizing, and implementing activities for residents in a long-term care facility. The Activity Aide I assists with the development of individualized activity plans, assists with the implementation of activities, and provides support to residents in the activities.What is Activity Aide Job Skills Required?
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to work with a diverse population
• Knowledge of recreational activities and therapeutic activities
• Knowledge of safety and infection control procedures
• Knowledge of basic computer applications
What is Activity Aide Job Qualifications?
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a long-term care facility preferred
• Certification in therapeutic recreation preferred
What is Activity Aide Job Knowledge?
• Knowledge of recreational activities and therapeutic activities
• Knowledge of safety and infection control procedures
• Knowledge of basic computer applications

What is Activity Aide Job Responsibilities?
• Assist with the development of individualized activity plans
• Assist with the implementation of activities
• Provide support to residents in the activities
• Ensure that activities are conducted in a safe and secure environment
• Monitor the progress of residents in the activities
• Document activities and progress of residents
• Assist with the maintenance of activity supplies and equipment
• Assist with the coordination of volunteers and other staff members
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service training sessions
