Accounting Services Coordinator Jobs

Reviews, compiles and maintains accounting documentation for the management and approval of contractual commitments.

Combination of a minimum of 5 years, direct work experience and recognized, post-secondary certification, diploma, or degree in accounting or bookkeeping.

Fulfils the tangible capital asset reporting requirements for the assigned divisions.

Prepares, or assists with the preparation of, financial reports and analysis.

Acts as a technical resource for the clerical, operations and accounting staff, as required.

Provides direction and assists as necessary, to ensure proper accounting processes are completed accurately and within the required time-lines.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY EXECUTE THE ABOVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the AR Manager to maintain collection goals and general A/R performance levels.

Communicate with internal/external sales representatives and accounting/tax professionals as necessary to complete job duties.

Post-secondary degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

3+ years of direct experience in an A/R capacity.

Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

1 year of full cycle bookkeeping experience

Experience working with cloud accounting software such as QBO and/or Xero is preferred

QBO Basic, QBO Advance, Xero and other application certifications are considered an asset

Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes

Experience working with desktop bookkeeping software is beneficial

Assist with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions for MNP clients

Develop technical skills in areas such as: compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax

Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, manage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory counts

Completion of, or working towards, a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred)

Completion of, or working towards, prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon commencement of employment

Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset

Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset
