As a Website Developer Intern, you will be responsible for the following:

The Web Developer is a key member of the IT and developers team that they are committed to creating improving, and optimizing design, and performance, ensuring the delivery of the best possible experience for our Existing websites.

Accountabilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ensure website health relating to speed, technical SEO, usability, security, and browser/device compatibility.
• Code custom Wix themes, templates, and plugins, following best practices across various environments.
• Update and/or create new features on existing websites.
• Subject matter expert who provides leadership, and recommendations based on results and trends.
• Provide status updates to the Project Manager
• Responsible for Microsoft 365 Infrastructure and software deployment.
• Best web design practices with knowledge of SEO.
• Collaborate well with Internal team members.
• Website Accessibility Compliance
• Ability to manage source control to ensure organized repositories.
• Work closely with the Marketing Team to understand business challenges and objectives to provide solutions through digital experiences that drive performance.
• Ability to identify potential gaps and threats, focus on user experience and the continual pursuit of delivering the best possible experience for our new and returning users.
• Perform system administration tasks. SSO Integrations, System Support, and maintenance.
• Highly organized and capable of using a Kanban-style workflow to manage projects.
• This Role Is Accountable to someone who is familiar with WIX (Front/Back End) and data entry.
• Leadership Competencies and Responsibilities
• Work with key internal stakeholders to troubleshoot, solve challenges and apply debugging skills.
• Assist Helpdesk with root cause Identification and technical support when needed.
• Troubleshooting common Website\Wix issues
• Providing report/analytic publishing and distribution
• Modify and develop websites based on design mock-ups.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Assess current practices and introduce process efficiencies/automation, launching updates, and website scaling.

Abilities, Attributes and Experience

• Assist Digital Marketing Specialist with research and development to constantly increase conversion rates and usability resulting in direct revenue website.
• Support in the development of online experiences to support marketing initiatives.
• Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist and assist with marketing trends/methods and make recommendations for new/revised online marketing campaigns.
• Training users on new or modified content management systems
• Understand Search Engine Optimization initiatives to support marketing initiatives.
• Priority contact for all National web support and development

• Unpaid Internship – This internship is unpaid, however, depending on your inputs and success, you may be compensated for your efforts, or your contract could be extended for another 3-month work term
