Job Description

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Web Developer to help our client configure, customize, and code within their portal system that provides access to internal services for external customers. The portal utilizes the Citizen Portal on Amanda.


Responsibilities:


  • Identifying and resolving bugs and defects.
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Manager to drive the project forward.
  • Offering production and post-production support.
  • Conducting unit and system testing to ensure quality.
  • Sharing knowledge with resources through knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Participating in sprint ceremonies, such as daily scrums and sprint planning sessions.
  • Providing support for user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Participating in any upgrade or future integration initiatives.
  • Maintaining and updating code documentation.


Requirements:


  • Web services with SOAP and XML
  • Data interchange using JSON
  • Web development skills with JavaScript, jQuery, JSP, CSS, and Bootstrap
  • Experience working with the Citizen Portal and/or AMANDA is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a Developer
  • Version control using Git
  • A strong foundation in database management including SQL/PL and SQL
