We are currently seeking an experienced Warranty Specialist to oversee the daily operations of our Warranty Division and can operate with minimum supervision.If you have a growth mindset and you thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply!
What you will be doing:
- Oversee and walkthrough completed buildings with the purchasing team prior to sale;
- Proactively communicate opportunities for improvement;
- Manage PDI inspections with clients at time of turnover or sale;
- Train and support the Quality Control team on warranty policies and procedures;
- Develop, implement and update warranty policies and procedures on an ongoing basis to stay in line with WestUrban’s standards and guidelines;
- Provide weekly tracking of all outstanding warranty work orders;
- Travel and work on various construction sites across Vancouver Island, the lower mainland and interior BC for multiple days at a time;
- Manage all escalated customer calls and in person visits to include documentation, follow-up, and work to assure closure on every claim;
- Review monthly Warranty budget and implement initiatives based on the needs of the division.
What you need to bring:
- Ability to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher-level manager;
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed construction blueprints, specifications, and detailed development drawings;
- Knowledge of local building and construction codes;
- Demonstrate the highest level of knowledge and customer satisfaction as the primary contact for our customers when they have warranty issues;
- Minimum five years experience in a Warranty position working in multi family construction;
- Knowledge of new home warranty;
- Understands all stages of construction process including both rough and trim;
- Exceptional time-management and organization skills with an ability to work independently on multiple projects at once.
Extras we like to see:
- Customer serviced focused with the ability to resolve problems effectively.
- Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, hvac and flooring knowledge is an asset;
- College diploma or a combination of post-secondary education and experience;
