New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an RFP Writer to help our client prepare robust and succinct RFP inputs that will inform the next phase of the Program. The successful candidate will have proven professional experience in similar roles, and a strong desire to deliver highest-quality results in a demanding setting. A history of writing proposals, requirements and business cases that are clear, concise and accurately reflect the needs of the program and stakeholders is required.

Responsibilities:

• Identify the evidence and supporting information needed to link RFP requirements to stakeholder and vendor inputs
• Write RFP requirements
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, working with them to anticipate and mitigate issues and delays
• Participate in the planning, development and drafting of RFP requirements, to tight deadlines, establishing convincing and compelling arguments that lead from evidence to informed recommendations.
• Liaise with clinical stakeholders and program resources, where required, to support RFP requirement delivery
• Facilitate client engagement, supporting appropriate planning and communication
• Provide guidance and advice to program teams on the requirements and development of RFP requirements
• Ensuring RFP requirements are written with program outcomes in mind, ensuring technical terminology or content is translated into everyday language and the requirements and scoring of the RFP are clearly and concisely justified
• Prepare materials and contribute to discussions and decisions at Governance Committee meetings
• Supporting program and project managers to clearly demonstrate the cause and evidenced rationale behind any RFP requirements

Requirements:

• Experience facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups
• Experience preparing RFPs in partnership with clinical, finance and procurement colleagues
• Experience in writing RFPs and business cases
• Strong client focused, team-oriented communication skills with emphasis on building lasting, trusted partnerships through written and verbal communications
• Strong business writing skills
• 4+ years of experience producing RFP content
• Experience providing advice and support to program and project managers / technical contributors on the process, procedures and content required within RFPs, ensuring a level of quality and consistency across all projects
• Experience with Clinical Information Systems is an asset
• Detail oriented
• 6+ years of experience working as an RFP Writer or Senior Business Analyst, within a healthcare organization
• Experience working in highly structured PMO environments is preferred
• Demonstrated capability to work with Senior Management Team and Executives
• Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated capability in handling sensitive and challenging situations
• Must be a relationship and team builder and have the confidence to challenge expert input in a credible and constructive manner
• Excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, Visio, Project)
• Proven analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
