Warehouse Specialist

Job Type: Permanent

Location: North York, Ontario


About Us: At Socksmith Canada, we take pride in offering a wide range of stylish and comfortable socks to wholesale and retail customers across Canada. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional products and service.


Job Summary: The Warehouse Specialist will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations and customer service efforts. This position involves receiving incoming shipments of socks, preparing and shipping orders to customers, and providing top-notch customer service over the phone and via email. The ideal candidate should have experience in warehouse operations, possess strong organizational skills, and be comfortable interacting with customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers over the phone and via email by answering inquiries, processing orders, and providing shipping information.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse.
  • Collect payment information and confirm shipping details to ensure smooth order processing.
  • Handle customer concerns, returns, and exchanges professionally and effectively.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and label orders for both wholesale and retail customers.
  • Participate in occasional inventory counts and audits.
  • Stay informed about product offerings, promotions, and company policies to better assist customers.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage inventory and maintain an organized warehouse.
  • Receive incoming shipments of socks, check for accuracy, and ensure proper storage.


Qualifications:

  • Adaptability to changing workloads and priorities.
  • Basic computer skills for order processing and using relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during order processing and customer interactions.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
  • Physical stamina to handle lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage inventory and orders.
