Warehouse Associate Jobs

A Global Food Distributor in Montreal Airport area is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join their team. The company imports food products from Japan and supplies the products to the local restaurants and supermarkets.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing food products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all warehouse activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Receiving and Inspecting Merchandise:

• Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices.
• Ensure accurate labeling and proper documentation of received goods.
• Inspect merchandise for defects, damages, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

1. Inventory Management:

• Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
• Organize and maintain inventory in an orderly manner, ensuring efficient storage and easy accessibility.
• Perform regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.

1. Order Fulfillment and Shipping:

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and track shipments.
• Prepare shipping labels, invoices, and other necessary documentation.

1. Warehouse Organization and Safety:

• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, following all safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of products to prevent damage or loss.

1. Data Entry and Documentation:

• Accurately record and update inventory data using computerized systems.
• Maintain proper documentation of all warehouse activities, including receipts, shipments, and inventory adjustments.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and other relevant metrics as required.

Requirements:

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (valid certification is a plus).
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to Drive a Van to distribute food products.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred.
