Reporting to the Head of Production, the Video Editor/Camera Operator will create and edit videos for Linus Media Group across our various channels such as Linus Tech Tips, TechQuickie, etc. The Video Editor/Camera Operator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duties:
- Utilizing video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition) to edit raw footage into cohesive and engaging video content.
- Collaborating with writers and other stakeholders to ensure videos align with each channel’s style and narrative.
- Performing color correction/grading and repairing/enhancing footage and audio during the editing process.
- Setting up and operating cameras, lighting, and audio recording devices, ensuring optimal image and sound quality.
- Managing multiple video projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Incorporating graphics, animations, and other elements to elevate the visual appeal of our videos while maintaining the company’s identity.
Requirements:
- Intermediate understanding of Photoshop and After Effects.
- Advanced understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- A positive attitude.
- Great problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
- A resume, cover letter, and portfolio showcasing your work.
- Must be able to think independently and quickly.
- Adobe Audition and Illustrator skills are an asset.
- Advanced understanding of audio, lighting, and design.
- Ability to work with a team or independently.
- Strong communication skills.
