Job Description
Mountainside Animal ER-we're more than just a pretty building!

Under new management and leadership, including our new and awesome Medical Director (Dr. Harry Cozens), Mountainside Animal Hospital and 24 Hour Emergency is continuing to grow and change. Focusing on emergency medicine only, we are excited to add another full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to our team to help us as we move in a very exciting direction.

We know that its about more than just working in a nice building with fancy toys and great wages/benefits- you want growth and development opportunities to hone your craft while protecting your quality of life outside of work. We are making this a top priority here at Mountainside.

Oh, and you can bring your dog to work too!

Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and urbanites alike, North Vancouver, BC is an incredible place to live and work. Its true that our hospital offers a variety of extensive services and equipment but its our people who are what really make the difference. Emergency work is not for everyone but with a patient-first philosophy, we aim to make every client and staff member feel like they are part of our family.

The Position

We are searching for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician who is up for the fast paced and exciting challenge of emergency work and who wants to challenge themselves to the next level. These positions are on a rotational basis, including weekends and overnights meaning your job is always changing and you never know what will come through the door.

Why Should You Apply?

  • Above average pay - ~$26-$35/hr
  • 100% discount on many services for staff pets
  • Extremely attractive schedule (full time is 3 shifts/week with 4 days off each week!) with fairness and work/life balance in mind
  • Fun perks like bringing your dog to work and healthy (okay, not always healthy...how'd those gummy worms get there?) snacks in the staff room
  • A place to feel proud of and passionate about so you can look forward to coming to work every day
  • Great benefits package and CE
  • Beautiful work space, view and location that encourages a healthy lifestyle (think dog trails, mountains, fresh air!)
  • Chance to challenge yourself and develop your skills
  • A supportive, team environment where you feel valued and you make life-long friends.

If you want to be a part of this exciting growth and new direction while advancing your own skills and experience, please apply via our website: mountainside24er.ca
