Robert Half is seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI Designer to join our client's team for a 12-month full-time contract. As a UX/UI Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience of our client's digital products and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving user experience, strong design skills, and a solid understanding of UX principles. Ideally, this candidate will work onsite 1 day per week at our client's office in Oakville.

Responsibilities

• Ensure designs are accessible and comply with WCAG 2.0 guidelines, considering diverse user needs and disabilities.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand user needs, and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing user interface designs for web and mobile applications.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve the user experience.
• Work closely with developers to ensure the seamless implementation of designs, providing guidance and support throughout the development process.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and JavaScript, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding innovative solutions.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer or a similar role.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0) and a commitment to designing inclusive experiences for all users.
