Ux/Ui Designer - Hybrid

The UX/UI Designer is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to self-manage, plan, drive design projects from requirements to delivery with minimal supervision.
• Identify and articulate design and technical conflicts between colleagues and/or local stakeholders and help to resolve these.
• Deliver on-time, identifying and managing risks to ensure timelines are met, and escalating where needed
• Build low to high-fidelity wireframes, mock-ups, and/or prototypes for various delivery platforms (web, mobile, application) with associated assets to support development teams using industry standard tools including Figma, Sketch, Invision, Axure, etc… and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Ability to work with extended design and project teams co-located in Dublin, NY/NJ and in other locations globally.
• Perform detailed handover to development teams, ensuring they have all they need to implement the designs
• Provide ongoing support to development, with regular review checkpoints ensuring quality and spec are as designed
• Keep up-to-date with the latest UX practices, innovations, and tools
• Plan and perform UX research, define IA, user journeys, and create personas
• Ability to work across detailed UX - interaction design to UI - visual design delivery for development.
• Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility
• Use and contribute to the approved design system
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-faceted team while interfacing various stakeholders locally and globally.
• Lead meetings with users, product sponsors and technology to understand project requirements
• Understand and distil service/application workflows and touchpoints, and translate to intuitive, efficient, and compelling interface designs, flow diagrams, and visualizations/prototypes.
• Translate complex content and information systems into wireframes, interaction details, mock-ups / storyboards and interactive prototypes.
• Promote the value of UX within the wider organization

Qualifications:

• Express & communicate design ideas to wide range of audiences with varied level of design understanding.
• Versed in user-centered design methodologies and techniques including user research and testing, data analysis, journey maps, persona creation, etc
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of web technologies and frameworks including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, bootstrap, Jquery, etc…
• Working experience on User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design for web applications and digital solutions for hand-held devices.
• Creating low-fi and hi-fi screen flows, mock-ups and rapid prototypes using design tools.
• Familiarity with Angular/AngularJS frameworks.
• Good communication skills to socialize design concepts and iterations

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
