Truck Driver/Mover/$26 An Hour

BMD Transportation is hiring DZ driver to drive a 24' curtain side box truck delivering building materials to locations in southern Ontario mostly along the 400 series highways. The successful candidate will report daily to Woodbridge, ON location to start and finish the day and can expect regular 8 to 10 hrs shifts - usually starting around 6am.

Position Requirements:

• Valid DZ license with a minimum 2 years verifiable experience
• Flexibility to accommodate different start times
• Ability to work 50+ hours/week
• Clean abstract/CVOR
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Observe and comply with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act
• Completing all applicable paperwork
• Be able to perform physical work (lifting in excess of 50lbs)
• Must be able to operate a automatic truck equipped with a curtain side box system
• Responsible for communicating with Dispatch
• Secure and unsecure loads using straps
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
• Maintain up-to-date Driver Log (all trucks are e-log equipped)
• Perform inspections of truck before, during, and after trips, including gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel and air leaks
