Required Duties
The Teaching Assistant will assist the course instructor as follows:
  • Help supervise the mid-term exam, as needed.
  • Assist with grading of assignments, mid-term;
  • Answer questions on the topics covered in the course during announced office hours either in person or via a remote platform (i.e. Zoom) as applicable and via e-mail;
  • Assist in dataset preparation and customization, as needed;
  • Review new assignments for clarity and step through new exercises in the computer lab verify new software/datasets are working and set up correctly;
Qualifications
Graduate engineering student with good knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), waterfootprint (ISO based) and carbon footprint. Knowledge of OpenLCA, Ecoinvent and Oracle Crystal Ball software is an asset. Previous successful completion of the SEAD 520 course is an asset.
Teaching Assistants will be required to be on campus to perform their tasks in person. Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.
