Job Title: System Administrator - MacOS
Location: Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
Position: Hybrid
Salary: $35-$45hr
Our team is seeking a System Administrator with a great track record supporting Apple MacOS systems. We utilize a strong remote management stack to support our various clients and we’re passionate about keeping them happy, so we need a MacOS expert that can work with us to make this happen! The ideal person will have excellent communication skills, experience troubleshooting MacOS and Windows issues, be familiar with basic command line troubleshooting, and have experience using JAMF for device management. Experience working for an MSP is also considered a big bonus.
Your Responsibilities:
- Utilize JAMF to manage and maintain devices across the organization
- Be able to work well under pressure, and train users on best practices for using their MacOS or Windows devices
- Create, test, and deploy MDM profiles for MacOS
- Support end-users by providing technical guidance and solutions in a clear and concise manner
- Drive to customer locations to provide in-person customer support where remote support is exhausted/not possible
- Onboarding and offboarding users and their computers in Active Directory
- Monitor the support ticket system, emails and incoming phone calls, and provide Level 2 technical support to our Apple MacOS and Windows clients
- Create PowerShell scripts to perform reports or deploy software to Windows systems
Job Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 2+ years of experience in IT support with a focus on supporting Apple MacOS systems
- Great people skills and above average patience
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), or equivalent experience
- Experience with JAMF device management software
- Technical support experience supporting MacOS, Windows, mobile devices (Android, iOS), backup platforms (eg. Datto, N-able, Veeam), enterprise-grade antivirus, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with basic command line troubleshooting
Bonus Experience:
- Experience with Service Now or Autotask
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Currently working or previous experience working for an MSP is an asset
- Experience with Windows or Linux servers
- Experience with Network Hardware’s like; Sophos, Meraki, Ruckus
