System Administrator Jobs

Full-Time Projects Technician position available at an IT Solutions Company in Kitchener. The candidate must have a strong background in IT and be able to work on various projects, build networks, and help create a centralized services department.

Responsibilities:

• Building domains in azure
• Supporting routers, firewalls, switches, APs, backup solutions
• Participating in the validation and creation of internal documentation
• Setting up small and medium client networks
• Managing Office 365 maintenance, installation, and migration
• Implementing multi-phase projects
• Managing downtime and customer impact
• Ensuring risks are managed while minimizing their impact on projects and customers
• Coordinating with vendors and contractors
• Providing time-sensitive support to clients on escalated helpdesk tickets

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent analytical skills
• Experience with Windows domains, firewall and networking systems, phones, email and cloud services, virtualization, and certifications with technology as an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commercial awareness
• Three or more years of experience with a portfolio of completed projects in the IT industry
• Mentoring coworkers
• Eight or more years of experience in the IT industry
• Experienced, independent, and able to handle 15-20 projects per year without requiring excessive supervision or micromanagement
• Experience improving processes
• Solid technological background with Windows domains, Office 365, networking, Systems and email
• Building relationships with end-users and project stakeholders
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Datto exclusively, Sophos Firewalls switches, Dell servers, and Azure services is preferred
• Valid Ontario Driver's License
