Airswift is working with one of our major oil and gas clients to find a Supply Chain Lead to join their team on a long-term contract in Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
• Lead a project team of supply chain professionals in the execution of SCM deliverables in accordance with the company's SCM governance.
• Develop and implement a supply & contracting strategy that supports and aligns with Project needs and governance.
• Attend periodic Project Management Team meetings, leading commercial discussions with recommendations and solutions.
• Accountable for driving Value Creation opportunities on the project (cost reduction & cost avoidance)
• Collaboration with other SCM peers in Category Management and Operations to maximize value appropriate with total spending
• Mentor to the SCM project team; supporting initiatives, recommendations, negotiations, etc.
• Frequent status reporting and metrics into the Project and SCM Corporate
• Ownership of all project contracts with key suppliers and service providers that span across all disciplines
• Maintain and optimize project files, ensuring that appropriate contract documentation are available and audit requirements are upheld for all contracts.
THE CANDIDATE
• Related Post-secondary education and a minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain Management experience in the
corporate office providing Supply Chain expertise to companies within the oil and gas sector
• Designation through the Supply Chain Management Association (formerly PMAC) and/or Certified Purchasing Manager through ISM (Institute for Supply Management) (preferable but not a must)
• Experience managing a team of Supply Chain Professionals on large capital projects (i.e. >$250M) through early FEED Eng to execution and closeout.
• Collaborative mindset, willing to work alongside various discipline groups and subject-matter experts
• Relationship builder: able to navigate the team and rally the resources to a successful project execution
• Team player with demonstrated experience working cooperatively within operating facilities, pipelines, and on project teams.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, communication, and interpersonal skills
