About The Team & Business Line

As a core member of our Fund Accounting team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Your Role

• Review client funds’ partnership agreements, PPMs, and other materials
• Interact with senior management and clients; help establish plan for new client setup and transitions
• Interact daily with P&L team on valuations and price analysis
• Prepare monthly Net Asset Value calculations, which includes: Cash and Portfolio Reconciliations, Income and Expense Accruals, Partner/Shareholder Allocation calculations, Financial Statement preparation and trial balance review
• Help coordinate, manage, and monitor external audit process
• Coordinate with Operations group, Tax group, Investor Relations group, Financial Statement group, and other groups at Citco
• Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables
• Be part of the Implementation of fund structures on accounting system
• Prepare ad hoc reports as needed
• Place outbound phone calls to clients in response to written inquiries, or obtain clarification on transaction processing requests; provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients

About You

• You have demonstrated 3+ years of work experience at hedge fund accounting or investment companies fund accounting with derivative instruments and external investors
• You have a Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or economics AND
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You have a proven ability to work in a challenging and professional work environment.
• You can demonstrate that you are comfortable working in an operations model where you have to co-ordinate and work with various teams.
• You have a strong working understanding of investment strategies and financial products (including derivatives).
• You will have been in a reviewer capacity of deliverables and managing delivery for the team.
• You will have some successful supervisory/management experience.
• You have nearly qualified or completed CA, CMA, CGA, CPA or CFA designation (preferred – not must have).
• You have an accounting / finance background with relevant experience – evidenced by:
• You have strong Office and Outlook skill set (especially Excel).
• You have demonstrated financial reporting, analytical and organizational skills.
