Catch a Balloon Clinic, a renowned pediatric occupational therapy clinic, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as Summer Camp Facilitators. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in the field of occupational therapy.
About Catch a Balloon Clinic:
Catch a Balloon Clinic is a specialized program designed to provide occupational therapy services to children aged 5 to 12. Our camp program focuses on enhancing fine motor skills, sensory integration, social interactions, and overall motor development in a fun and supportive environment. We believe in the power of play to help children with special needs achieve their potential and build confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Help set up and organize materials and equipment.
- Assist with administrative tasks and camp logistics as needed.
- Engage and interact with campers, providing support and encouragement.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during activities and outings.
- Assist occupational therapists during indoor and outdoor program sessions and group activities.
- Collaborate with the camp staff to create a positive and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Availability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week throughout the summer camp duration-July 4th to August 3rd, 2023.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to work with children with special needs.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Interest in pediatric occupational therapy, child development, or related fields.
