As a solution engineer, warehouse optimization, which at Best Buy we call a senior engineer - supply chain, you will be at the forefront of proposing new automation and optimization ideas to support to Best Buy’s Canadian distribution centers.   In this critical and strategic role, you will be working with a team of collaborative and highly skilled engineers, analysts and supply chain specialists to improve the people, processes and technology used to get the coolest new tech to our customers.

What you’ll do:

• Manage projects of various sizes related to facility layout and design, relocation, new process integration, process revisions, technology deployment, labor modeling, and other related efficiency and waste reduction initiatives
• Evaluate, analyze, recommend, and implement improvements pertaining to all distribution center processes, and material handling changes for configuration, reverse logistics, automated systems, and fulfillment operations
• Design and implement improvements to automation equipment to increase efficiency and productivity for current and future business needs
• Plan and design automated systems that increase productivity by improving the integration of people, processes, and technology

What we’re looking for:

• Certified in Lean & Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
• Intermediate Power BI and SQL skills
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Experience with Warehouse Automation
• Advanced Excel, Visio and AutoCad skills
• Engineering experience in logistics, or distribution field
