Job Description

Title: Software Engineer

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Duration: 12 Month(Contract)


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated software engineer with a strong background in software as a medical device (SaMD) products, machine learning, and medical imaging. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field and be able to demonstrate hands-on experience in SaMD imaging products.


In this role you will design, develop, and continuously improve AI/ML algorithms for clinical imaging (Radiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, etc.). You will collaborate with multiple teams within a highly interdisciplinary, complex healthcare environment (software, clinical and regulatory) to ensure successful delivery and integration of AI/ML algorithms within our data management platform and with external deployment partners.


Your responsibilities will include preparing documentation for regulatory submissions, design validation study plans, communicating the project status and identifying potential risks. You will also be involved in publishing our latest research advances, presenting the company at technical and clinical conferences and sharing your experience with junior team members.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development and integration of algorithms and products for imaging applications.

• Preparation of documentation for quality management and regulatory applications.

• Integration of software with PACS AI Marketplace modules.

• Collaborate in cross-functional teams including software engineers and regulatory experts.

• Stay current with the latest industry trends and technology advancements.


Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development for SaMD products.

• Hands-on experience in machine learning and software development for medical imaging.

• Hands-on experience in integration of software to PACS systems is a plus.

• Experience in quality and regulatory processes for medical devices is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
