·Having around 5+ years of experience as Linux and AIX Administrator.

·Installing and Administering Linux servers in 24x7 environments.

·Taking OS level Pre-Health checks and prep work before the Activity.

·Manage ticket creations and resolve issues during Health checks.

·Installing PATCHES and packages on LINUX SERVERS.

·OS migration which includes SUSE 11 to 12, 12sp5 to 15sp3.

·VIOS upgrades and firmware upgrades for IBM hardware

·Good knowledge in Booting Process, server performance and related issues

·Creating and managing user accounts, groups and access levels using SUDO.

·Monitoring the system, cpu, memory and disk utilization using topas, sar, vmstat, netstat, nmon, etc

·Working with paging spaces – creation, increase, decrease paging spaces as per the requirement.

·Applying Access Control List (ACL’s) on the files in order to allow multiple users to access a particular file or directory.

·Running snap, system dump, diag to troubleshoot any problems found in the server.

·Installation and configuration of Linux servers like FTP, WEB, NFS, SAMBA, DNS, DHCP.

·Creating file Systems and troubleshooting related issues like file system full.

·Having hands on experience in creating and troubleshooting LVMs and file systems.

·Package management with major package management systems like RPM (Red hat Package Management).

·Automation of jobs through Crontab.

·Performance monitoring, CPU Utilization, Memory utilization and Disk utilization using system tools like TOP, VMSTAT, IOSTAT and SAR.

·Knowledge on Linux system services such as NFS.

·Configuration and troubleshooting of Services such as FTP and SSH.

·Handling the tickets using SERVICE-NOW.

·Good experience in ITIL process.

·Strong conceptual understanding of Security, VI Editors. Remote system administration using tools like SSH.

·Sharing the files & Directories using NFS and AUTOFS.

·Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently as well as a team member.

·Provided on-call support and worked with Vendors on system issues and bugs for its resolution.

·Performed regular deep dive into applications performance through available tools like Dynatrace and co related to find out root cause.

·Expertise in administration of ORACLE WebLogic, Sun-Solaris 8/9/10, AIX, TIBCO, WebSphere, Red Hat Linux and Windows environments.

·Experience in Batch Monitoring tools like ESP scheduling package and supporting mainframe applications.

·Proficient in System administration, System planning, co-ordination, commissioning, setting up security hierarchy and capacity planning.

·Worked on flexible hours for production, backup and on-call support for 24/7 environments.

·Knowledge on Ansible and Ansible Tower as Configuration management tool, to automate repetitive tasks, quickly deploys critical applications, and proactively manages change.

·Experience using Ansible Tower, which provides an easy-to-use dashboard, and role-based access control, so that it’s easier to allow individual teams access to use Ansible for their deployments.

·Knowledge on administering and maintaining Atlassian products like JIRA and Confluence.

·Used JIRA for creating tickets.

·Having good trouble shooting knowledge on Tomcat and Apache App/Web servers (Solaris /Linux) in all environments.
