We are looking for a Software Developer to help develop and maintain a highly advanced Enterprise Security Solutions for WinMagic. We’re looking for someone with software engineering skills, systematic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the innovation, creativity, and serious hard work to make our products successful. You’ll work with our agile development teams and other software engineers who happen to love the challenge of building products that secure our customers data.

The candidate should be a flexible, highly independent worker as well as an excellent team player, and able to work efficiently under schedule deadlines.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Specify, design, implement and port Linux software in a dynamic product development environment
• Work collaboratively with QA team to define test plans
• Design code with special attention to accuracy and security
• Develop unit tests, troubleshoot and resolve software defects

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or a related field
• 5to 8 years of experience in developing software using C/C++, Python and Bash scripting
• Extensive knowledge of the Linux kernel (drivers, storage stack, device mapper, dmcrypt)
• Proficient understanding of OS Architecture.
• Demonstrated experience with kernel patching and debugging
• Strong problem solving, expert troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Knowledge of RHEL 7+, Ubuntu 16+, Suse and other distros.
• Knowledge and passion for solid software engineering practices, release processes and project life cycles
