About the Position:
We are hiring a full-time co-op Software Developer Intern (TypeScript) position for the Fall semester, from September 2023 to December 2023 at Stabl. Stabl is a post-operative rehabilitation platform that uses live motion analysis to monitor recovery exercise adherence and share progress data with providers to help hospitals reduce readmissions, improve satisfaction, and remotely monitor recovery. As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced software engineers and contribute to exciting projects that require a strong foundation in TypeScript, as well as analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
Location: This role will be remote and it is not necessary to travel to any specific location. Although, we are based out of Toronto, Canada but work remotely and meet once weekly in-person (optional).
Responsibilities:
- Follow best practices in software development, version control, and testing.
- Identify and troubleshoot software defects and other technical issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain TypeScript applications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Work on algorithms and computer vision techniques to detect exercises accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
- The candidate must have an Academic Contact (AC) at their post-secondary institution in Canada to sign off the co-op agreement, ensuring that the co-op aligns with the student's academic curriculum.
- Familiarity with computer vision concepts and algorithms would be an asset.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills to tackle complex problems.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript, with practical experience in developing web applications.
- Must be a part-time/full-time student currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in Canada.
- Prior experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is preferred.
