Software Developer (Full Stack)

Team

In this newly created role and team, you will be reporting to the Vice President of Technology and building out Ziing’s tech stack. You will be utilizing bleeding edge technology and building products that are driven by generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).

You have expertise in Microsoft tech and will be designing, developing, and maintaining software applications from start to finish. The role requires a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development using Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and Azure. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze, and document functional and technical specifications
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality software solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and Azure
• Develop user-friendly, responsive, and efficient front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
• Stay up-to-date with new Microsoft technologies, industry trends, and emerging software development best practices
• Develop and maintain software documentation, including specifications, architecture, and design documents
• Ensure software quality by writing automated tests, debugging, and fixing software defects

Qualifications

• Knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, code reviews, and continuous integration and delivery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong experience in front-end development using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
• Experience in developing RESTful web services and APIs using ASP.NET Web API
• At least 3+ years of experience in developing software applications using Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and Azure
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Preference is for candidates based out of Calgary, Vancouver, or Toronto, however, remote candidates based in Canada will still be considered. There will be some in-office and travel requirements on an as needed basis.
