About The Role


As a Software Developer (co-op/intern) you’ll work in an agile environment, collaborating with other software developers and working across the entire software development life-cycle. We offer 4, 8, 12, or 16 months co-op/internship slots in the areas of full-stack or mobile development, candidates can tell us which system they would prefer to work on:


Full-stack Development


  • Learn full-stack development by embedding with a team-building full-stack application


Mobile Development


  • Learn full-stack development by embedding with a team-building full-stack application


Responsibilities


  • Developing, maintaining, debugging, and testing a large-scale web or mobile application.
  • Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code 
  • Regularly contribute to the ongoing improvement of team practices and ways of working with the aim of helping the team deliver value to the customer 
  • Have a curious and creative passion for coding, take pride in your own coding ability and interest to develop your skills further
  • Develop new features and functionality within the existing product 
  • Work closely with the quality teams to ensure that standards are maintained and improved
  • Adapt and learn to work with other languages/platforms where required


Qualifications


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and/or knowledge with Agile processes such as SCRUM, Kanban, SAFE
  • Experience and/or knowledge with SQL and ORM technologies such as Entity Framework/NHibernate
  • Ability to work with source control systems like git.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, and/or Dart
  • Ability to write and value high-quality, reusable software with minimal defects
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Working towards an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related fields
  • Experience with modern web and/or mobile UI frameworks such as React, Angular, Flutter
  • Experience and/or knowledge with server-side development, such as maintaining and building RESTful APIs,
