Due to our ongoing organic growth, we are currently seeking a qualified permanent full-time Software Automation Tester to join our Resourcing team in Kelowna, BC. RTRC Canada, based in Kelowna, Canada seeks to employ a Software Automation Tester for challenging software products for the Energy industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Test environment preparation;
  • To identify test risks based on project requirements;
  • To prepare automation and manual test reports based on test tools;
  • To implement and develop automated tests based on requirements specifications;
  • To contribute with the tests plans and strategy according with the project goals;
  • Be able to make presentations and provide trainings to internal customers regarding to new functionalities or features related to new projects;
  • To provide application support.
  • To integrate automated test into regression test suits;
  • Reporting and monitoring bugs found by automation and manual outcomes (TFS bug report preferred);
  • To maintain and support test cases projects;
  • To design test cases related to business workflow's scenarios and validate requirements' acceptance criteria;
  • To lead and coordinate the User Acceptance Tests with internal customers;
  • To design and execute automated tests in different automation test tools;
Requirements
Qualification or Skills:
  • Good written communication skills in native language and English;
  • Expertise on Agile methodologies;
  • A good general knowledge of IT systems;
  • Team work;
  • High level of knowledge on Test Automation tools (TestComplete, CodeUI, Protactor or Selenium Test);
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related;
  • 2+ Years of relevant experience on Test Process;
  • High understanding on software testing, concepts, practices and lifecycle;
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Quality Oriented;
  • Understanding of software requirements;
  • High Programming skills;
  • High understanding on automated tests best practices;
Preferred Qualifications and Skills but Not Required:
  • Knowledge in software development languages: Java, C#, JavaScript, Python;
  • Knowledge in the following tools: TFS, Microsoft Test Manager, SOATest, Microsoft visual Studio, Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft Office;
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques and pipelines.
