Job Description

Dana Hospitality (a part of Dexterra Group) is looking to hire a full-time Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to join our team. As a company that focuses on Scratch Cooking we are looking for an individual skilled at creating engaging social media content and tying it to our operations in the form of seasonal and marketing events.

Dana Hospitality is a Culinary Company that provides food services to a variety of business and industry clients. The role will involve managing and creating content for our Food Service handle at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus as well as general marketing related activities including the design of appropriate collateral and print. This role reports to both the Resident District Manager & the Corporate Engagement and Social Media Lead.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Social Media & Engagement

  • Respond to questions, inquiries and suggestions about Food Services with a winsome and professional manner to create a strong Digital Customer Service culture
  • Work with the Food Operations and Kitchens to generate excellent digital content regarding Food Processes, New Offerings and leverage cultural trends
  • Proficient in creating a variety of Social Media content that is aligned to the Dana brand and juggling multiple handles on behalf of multiple Dana units.
  • Send weekly reports regarding Social Media KPIs to Dana’s national lead of Social Media and organically grow Digital Footprint Month-Month
  • Collect and create content to populate these handles with engaging, relevant and value-adding material for customers
  • Interact with customers to gauge customer satisfaction regarding Food Services and liaison with Dana’s management team providing the paint points and work towards integrating solutions in our operations
  • Determine multiple stakeholders within the unit and look for opportunities to collaborate in order to amplify digital viewership and build our Food Service brand
  • The use of a variety of mediums including: reels, photography, short videos, carousels and stories to articulate Dana’s culinary values and differentiators

Marketing & Events

  • Design and creation of marketing printed collateral including loyalty cards, posters, signage etc
  • Understanding of merchandising, tabling, registry and event signage
  • Work with operations to determine creative and fun events that include sampling, contests, décor to engage students and break monotony with food as the medium

Qualities and Skill Set

  • Working understanding of a variety of Social Media platforms and how best to create and funnel content through them
  • Tactful, but creative in crafting a social media voice and persona that is aligned to the Dana brand.
  • Able to build rapport quickly with other customers and extract quality feedback regarding our services and offerings
  • Team Player, wiling to work with Kitchen and Frontline Staff to capture content in a non-intrusive manner to the Food Service Operations
  • Ability to spontaneously create polished content with mobile devicesthat is readily cross pollinated or repurposed for a variety of Social Media purposes
  • Curious and Passionate about Food and the Customer Experience that surrounds it
  • Punctual and Timely: Expected to provide coverage of key events for their respective Dana Units in order to market Dana’s offerings and build the consumer knowledge of the “Dana Experience”
  • Personable: You will interact with a variety of parties and stakeholders and will need to have an ability to make them comfortable for content creation and creating marketing collateral.
  • Good fundamentals around graphic design, audio/video editing, storyboarding and managing a content calendar to ensure proper execution of Dana Content Strategy
  • Willing & Quick Learner

Nice to haves:

  • Understanding of how to build and manage brand positioning
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to market and grow multiple social media handles for differing brand concepts
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Experience in Food Services or Hospitality Environment is a huge plus
  • Understanding of basic social media analytics and metrics including: Impressions, Reach and Engagement across a variety of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc
