If joining a fast-growing company with an amazing team sounds exciting, then we’d like to hear from you!*ROLE: Labourer*Reporting directly to the Manager - Outside Plant Construction, this position will be performing for all drop crew responsibilities in order to set up customers homes with our telMAX fibre. Ensuring that you maintain a clean and tidy work zone free of waste and equipment.*LOCATION: Stouffville & Newmarket**RESPONSIBILITIES:** Reconnect / disconnect equipment and/or services as per company standards and procedures* Ability to read blueprints/plans/maps* Ensure that communication with customers, other departments and peers is done in a professional manner* Complete installation work (e.g., rewires, splice, new drop replacements)* Rope / Proof Blockage for fiber install* Locates and surveys underground cable for outside utility locate requests to ensure continuous service for customers.* Able to work independently* Knowledge on basic fiber optic theory, materials, and standards.* Able to perform physical work with tools, such as burying drop duct and cable, operating a cable plough, safe operation of air compressors and fiber blowing equipment.* Effectively function as a team player.* Maintains a safe work site, uses proper PPE when necessary.*REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:** Valid Ontario “G” class driver’s license WITH abstract.* 1 year landscaping preferred* Working at heights is an asset.* Professional, trustworthy, and reliable with a strong attention to detail* Strong verbal and written communications skills* Great customer service skills* Ability to organize work and problem solve without any supervision* Ability to work both independently and as a team* Must be able to sit, stand, kneel for long periods of time* Able to lift up to 50 lbs* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions* Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a teamJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:* Dental care* Extended health care* Paid time offSchedule:* Day shiftWork Location: In person
