Job Title: Site Superintendent - School Construction/Improvements
Location: Flexible (Various Locations)
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per year + Work Truck

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Superintendent to join our team. This role will involve overseeing the construction of new schools or managing add-ons/improvements to existing schools.

As a Site Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing the construction and improvement projects for schools. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate activities, manage resources, and maintain a high level of communication to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews to ensure smooth project progress.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions.
- Ensure all project activities are executed according to the plans, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
Construction Management:
- Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections and obtain necessary permits and approvals to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications, resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Oversee all aspects of the construction process, including site preparation, foundation, structural work, interior finishes, and landscaping.
Team Management:
- Maintain a safe working environment, enforcing safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety among all workers.
- Lead and motivate on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
- Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, progress, and safety protocols.
Client Communication and Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and managing expectations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to resolve design-related queries and changes.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet specified standards.
- Address any deficiencies promptly and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality of workmanship and materials.
Requirements:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and manage teams.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, preferably with experience in school construction or school improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
