Now Hiring: Construction Superintendent for Solar Project at Youngstown location

We are hiring for one of the fast growing companies in renewable sector. Here is your chance to work with an organization that specializes in ground mount and rooftop solar photovoltaic installations for both commercial and utility-scale projects.
We need an experienced Construction Superintendent who will meet the following performance expectations:
Their primary duties and responsibilities generally include:
- Maintaining a daily log of construction site operations and identifying any gaps or areas that need to be addressed.
- Implementing techniques and strategies that are both efficient and cost-effective.
- Preparing expense reports outlining cost estimates for suppliers, material, labour and other related costs.
- Collaborating with Project Managers, clients and other management personnel when determining budgets and timelines.
- Coordinating deliveries of material and equipment with suppliers and vendors
- Creating schedules for workers and subcontractors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, monitoring the progress of the Construction Workers in the team, and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of construction equipment use, maintenance, and operation.
- Active listening skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management is considered an asset.
- 5 plus years EPC environment experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of local, provincial, and federal construction regulations.
- Time management and delegation skills.
- Thorough understanding of budgeting best practices in construction projects.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Experience with renewable, solar construction is considered an asset.
Where you will be working, your work schedule, and other important information:
The base hours of work are a regular 44-hour work week, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.

- Uneven ground level
- Obstructed pathways
Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site:
- Predominately outdoor climate
- Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.
- May be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather
