Shop Helper (General Labor) - Contract

A great opportunity to get introduced to the Heavy Equipment industry! As the Shop Helper, you will assist the technicians and follow procedures in and around the workshop, lubrication room, paint booth, wash bay, warehouse and equipment yard as required. This position is a 3-6 month contract with future potential to a permanent work placement.

Please note, this position requires regular physical activity; walking, standing, crouching, lifting, washing in various climates/conditions

Responsibilities

• Regular Washing, cleaning and preparation of equipment and/or vehicles as required
• Assisting technicians as requested
• Demonstrate and follow safety requirements at all times
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with company policy
• Ensure all areas are kept clean and organized, dispose of debris
• Assist with general servicing of site (workshop, lube room, paint booth, wash bay, warehouse, equipment yard)
• Other duties as assigned

Competencies

• Forklift license would be an asset but not required
• Safety conscious
• Demonstrated active listening
• Willing and able to perform physical demanding tasks
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Highschool completion is preferred
